Dr. Richard W. Cottrell
Dr. Richard Cottrell, owner, began his undergraduate education at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in 1991. He continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1992-1994. In 1994, he was accepted into the School of Dentistry
at Virginia Commonwealth University. He opened his practice in King George, VA in September of 1998.
Dr. Cottrell is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Dental Implants Associates of North Carolina, United States Dental Institute, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantology and the American Congress of Oral Implantology.
His passion for dentistry and his value for education, also led him to want to give back to the upcoming dental students by teaching part-time at dental school. He began doing this one year after he graduated and found gratitude as he watches his students develop and grow into successful dentists.
Some of Dr. Cottrell’s hobbies include golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his wife and three sons. He is originally from Forked River, NJ. He was inspired by his uncle to become a dentist, as he was, and so he went back to college at the age of 26 and pursued his dream. Dr. Cottrell loves dentistry and always puts the patient’s best interest first. He is a very fun-loving, happy person who always has a smile on his face!
Dr. George Cheng
Dr. George Cheng has been practicing dentistry since 2002. He attended the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Sciences for his undergraduate studies and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry with his dental degree.
Committed to staying on the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and technologies in the field of dentistry, Dr. Cheng maintains memberships with such prestigious organizations as the American Dental Association and the Richmond Dental Society.
In his leisure time, Dr. Cheng enjoys playing tennis, basketball, football and watching UVA Sports.
Dr. Michael Clark
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Michael Clark has been practicing dentistry since 2006. Similar to Dr. Cottrell, Dr. Clark started his education at a later age to pursue his dream. Beginning at J. Sargent Reynolds from 1996-1997, he finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in 2000. Dr Clark joined Dr. Cottrell following dental school.
Dr. Clark finds excitement every day in caring for his patients and their needs. He is dedicated to continued education and the latest technologies and concepts in patient care including Implants and Grafting techniques along with Invisalign Orthodontics.
In addition to his dedication to his patients, he believes volunteering is very important to our community. Dr. Clark volunteers throughout the year with Mission of Mercy through the Virginia Dental Association, which serves underserved areas of the state. Locally he volunteers at the Northern Neck Free Clinic.
Dr. Clark is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is also adjunct faculty for the VCU School of Dentistry and the School of Dentistry at the University of Louisville, as well as an alumnae member of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.
In his spare time Dr. Clark participates in a wide range of activities with his two sons including boating, snowboarding, and traveling in the vicinity. Dr. Clark is from Richmond and visits family often.
Dr. Gabriel Martin
Dr. Gabriel Martin is also a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and has been providing dental care for his patients since 2006. He is a member of such prestigious organizations as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Virginia Dental Association and the Implant Forum of Virginia.
As an active member of the community, Dr. Martin volunteers his dental services three times a year with Mission of Mercy Projects and participates in fundraisers to support Massey Cancer Center. During his spare time, he enjoys running, being outdoors, hiking, camping, snow skiing, swimming and woodworking.
